Accessible Booker Prize books

The shortlist for this years Man Booker Prize is widely available in various accessible formats.
All six of the shortlist are commercially available as ebooks with text to speech enabled. Three of them are already commercially available as unabridged audiobooks, but there are also three more in the pipeline.
- Julian Barnes - The Sense of an Ending (Jonathan Cape - Random House)
- Carol Birch - Jamrach's Menagerie (Canongate Books)
- Patrick deWitt - The Sisters Brothers (Granta)
- Esi Edugyan - Half Blood Blues (Serpent's Tail)
- Stephen Kelman - Pigeon English (Bloomsbury)
- A.D. Miller - Snowdrops (Atlantic)
Also, thanks to the support of the Booker Prize Foundation and the Man Group plc Charitable Trust, RNIB is producing accessible versions of the Booker shortlist in braille, giant print and as Talking Books. All accessible versions of the books will be available in October 2011, both from the RNIB online shop and the National Library Service.
The Prize winner will be announced on 18 October at a ceremony at London's Guildhall.
